On March 2 and 3, the Board of Authority for the Red River Regional Dispatch Center conducted interviews to fill the Director position that is being vacated due to the retirement of Byron Sieber. Director Sieber announced in November that he would be retiring on April 3, 2015. Sieber has served as the Director of the Red River Regional Dispatch Center for 6 years and 3 months.
The Board of Authority met Tuesday March 3, 2015 and is happy to announce that they have selected Mary Phillippi to serve as the next Director of the Red River Regional Dispatch Center. Ms. Phillippi currently holds the position of Assistant Director for the Red River Regional Dispatch Center. She has worked in public safety communications at the Red River Regional Dispatch Center for 27 years, advancing from communications operator, to shift supervisor, to assistant director.
Phillippi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in University Studies from the University of Mary. She also holds the certification of Emergency Number Professional (ENP) as developed by the National Emergency Number Association. She is one of only three people in the state to hold this prestigious certification.
