National Telecommunicators Week

April 12-18, 2015 is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.

Each year, the second week of April is dedicated to the men and women who serve as public safety communications operators.  In 1991, Congress proclaimed it as a nationally recognized week of recognition.  Public Safety Agencies nationwide have recognized the pivotal role played by communications operators to provide support to Law Enforcement, Fire Departments and Emergency Medical Services.

During this week we recognize and thank the men and women who serve in this great profession.

Thank you to the Red River Regional Dispatch Center Communications Operators.  Thank you for your dedication to this work of saving lives, one caller at a time.  Thank you for the long hours, for missing birthdays, holidays, and family events.   Thank you to your families who support you every day throughout the year and for their personal sacrifices so that you may help others in need. Thank you for the life saving work you do.
